| Classes
are offered at the Potters' Guild studio in Haslett each quarter
of the year. Adult students from the community work with professional
instructors to learn wheel throwing, hand-building, and glazing
techniques. For information on the Guild's

Dates and Times
Classes
meet for ten sessions. One class period is from 9 a.m. to noon on
Monday mornings; the other from 7-10 p.m. on Monday evenings. In
addition, three 3-hour student practice sessions are offered each
week .
Class
size and level
Up
to twelve adult students are enrolled in each class. Student skills
in each group range from absolute beginner to experienced. Our instructors
have years of experience in teaching pottery and they all have earned
the Master of Fine Arts degree.
Tuition
The fee
of $220 per term (effective 1/1/09) covers professional instruction,
practice hours, 50 pounds of clay, glaze materials and firing.
Registration
In
order to process enrollments on a first-come-first-served basis,
registration for Potters' Guild classes begins on a specific date
each term. Class registration dates for each quarter are listed
below. Applicants are asked first to contact the class registrar
at 517-349-2848 or .
Instructions will be provided for mailing a completed registration
form and a check for the fee made payable to the Greater Lansing
Potters’ Guild. Applicants will receive confirmation of their
enrollment status by mail. Please note that registrations received
before the designated date will not be accepted.
