Art is my passion. I love being an artist. I enjoy working with clay to express my creativity. I am fascinated by the versatility of clay; forms, shapes, patterns and textures are all areas that I love to explore. Altering pieces that I have thrown on the potter’s wheel allows me to express the soft nature of clay in the final form of the pot. The surfaces of my pots are often embellished with humorous details and textures inspired by fabric. I like to experiment with different clays, glazes and firing techniques to fulfill my curiosity about the endless possibilities of clay. It is important to me that my pottery is pleasing to the eye and functions well. I hope my pottery reflects the joy I have in making it and brings joy to those who use it.
