The
joy I experience from clay is never-ending. Most of my work is
functional, high fired stoneware; many pieces have incised designs.
Recently I've been involved in new adventures making porcelain
jewelry. Some are fired in a low-fire salt kiln and are rich with
natural, matt tones. Others are high-fired and shine from the
use of lusters and gold.
Joan's
creations can be purchased at the Potters' Guild sales, twice
a year.
