Charity demonstrates how to use a jar lid as a trimming tool.

An unconventional shape was created by joining two thrown pieces.
Charity points out aesthetic
considerations for handles.
This large bowl began as a
thrown piece that was pressed, the top was
trimmed off, and then strips from a slab were fused at the top.
A thrown shape is distorted
and then cut to shape the spout of a pitcher.

Another pitcher is symmetrical,
but with the sides stretched and textured.

A panorama of Charity Davis-Woodard's pots.
